For those of you who have not heard of it before: padel is a fast-growing racquet sport that is often described as a hybrid of tennis and squash and is particularly popular in Spain and South America. In Europe, padel tennis is gaining more and more popularity, too.
It is played on an enclosed court surrounded by glass walls and wire mesh, which are included in the game. Four players are invovled.
Since padel is not about strength but about tactics and precision, it is suitable for all levels and ages.
For a good game, it is important to find a suitable racket. When choosing a racket, one has to consider the own level. But you also have to consider your ability of controlling the ball and the degree of power that you prefer when handling the racket.
The core of the teardrop shaped racket is made of durable EVA rubber and its surface is coated with carbon fibre. There are holes in the centre of the face to reduce air resistance.
The frame is made of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastics, too. This makes it particularly light and easy to handle.
The middle-hard material and the low weight of the racket also add to a good control. Thanks to its teardrop shape, you also obtain a better hitting power than with round rackets.
This makes the padel racket not only ideal for advanced players, but also suitable for professionals.
To reduce unnecessary risks and avoid accidents, the padel tennis racket is equipped with a wrist strap.
